Want to email, text, or call your Doctor?

Over the past 50 years we have seen remarkable advances in technology. Has your doctor kept pace?

The answer is most definitely not. In fact, the level of access to doctors has probably decreased over the past 30 years. 

Most doctors will not engage with you over email, text, or phone unless they have too. One of the reasons for this is that insurance companies don't reimburse doctors for these types of communication. Most insurance requires in-person visits so that insurance can be verified. 

But there is a better way. I have helped a couple patients over the past week that had acute non-emergent conditions. One patient sent me a text picture of their throat. Another we communicated over text and phone. Both of these issues were handled without a visit. For this to work they both had established as a patient with me in person.
